Check out my new pets!!
Lestat, my ADORABLE little bat (who I named after the vampire in Anne Rice's books), and Sheegwa, my sweet little panda. You can let a fly loose for Lestat so he can use his wicked sonar to catch it. And you can give a sprig of bamboo for Sheegwa to munch on. So, go on! Play with them! Feed them! They're so cute! I tried to expand the width of my right scrolly-box so they could fit easier, but the white border doens't want to change, which makes me think it's an image along with the "bad kitty" sign. I really wish I could change it, but I can't seem to find where it's imbedded in the html. *sigh* Gahhhh! I'm beginning to really hate html. Any suggestions, people? So that's pretty much it. Went to an FFA meeting today to plan. Going on a trip to Trout Pond with them tomorrow. Planning to have Vicky over this weekend and visit the fair, which starts Friday. Luvs! Black Cat =^-^=

First Day of School
Today was the first day of governor's school. Not much happened... sat around, took roll, found/opened our lockers, broke up into groups, did a few team activity worksheets. It wasn't that exciting. :) Apparently I have a "Abstract Random" learning style and the sheet described me as "emotional, perceptive, active, colorful, overly sensual" and (my personal favorite) "spacey." Heehee! I am DEFINITELY spacey. So this year in governor's school I'm taking Statistics, Earth Science, English, and some kind of Chemistry/Science thing. It's like the standard schedule for juniors there. Classes start at 7:45 and there's a block one, then break, then block two, and the classes switch every other day. Then I go back to my home school and take two afternoon classes. As far as I know, over both semesters, I'm taking AP US History, Religions of the World, AP Calculus, and Bio II. So. Should be fun. I'm going to try and mess around with the html of this layout for a bit. I don't like the "Bad Kitty" on top of the right column, and my links are being weird and have that crossed-out effect. Also, I don't much like that pink shade as the background of this box that holds my posts. I hope I'll be able to change it to either white or black. I may be forced to keep all of those things if I can't figure out the html. >.< But. I will try. At first I was resigned to changing the layout, but the kitty is SO CUTE!!!!! And I love how it says "purred Black Cat" at the bottom of my posts. That's it for today! Luvs Black Cat =^-^=

Yes, yes, I am ashamed.
Yes.... I hath strayed from the wonderful world of blogging.*hangs head dejectedly*But! I have decided to begin anew! And now I will (hopefully) post semi-regularly and come up with some kind of mindless chatter to bore you with. This template is seriously old. I need to find a new one.... *taps chin* It's so hard to find good templates for Blogger, though. All the templates out there are for MySpace. :(Anyways, I proffer my deepest apologies, my friends and family! Please, forgive me!To give you a shortened update of the happenings of my summer...~ First I went to WLC, which was a leadership conference for the FFA in Washington, DC. (WLC = Washington Leadership Conference, NOT (thanks very much) Weight Loss Camp.*rolls eyes*)~ Then, a few days later, I headed off to Nag's Head for a beach vacation with my bestest bud Victoria. We rented a house on the sound side and went swimming and beaching and everything else. We rented a pontoon boat and saw DOLPHINS!!! YES!!! Quatro dolphinos. It was great. Not to mention I met Tor, the ice cream guy, fed the seagulls cheese (such a touristy thing to do), and a nine-year-old called me a "hot chick." Ohhhh, the things we live for in life.~ THEN, with hardly a day to spare, I went to Stellafane, a.k.a. Geekfest, where we... fested with geeks. :/ Heehee. It was actually pretty fun. It's a telescope convention, and you meet so many weird people there. Dad won first place in the little optical judging thing, and Mom's been telling everyone, so I decided to join the crowd and tell you.~ NOW, just barely back, I have to go to school TOMORROW!! That's right, tomorrow! It's actually only half a day for quite a while, because I'm starting governor's school, a program where I go to the technical college in the mornings and my regular school in the evenings. It's supposed to be a more advanced, team-based thing, and we all had to apply to get in, etc. etc. Anyways, it'll look good on my resume. :)I hope you guys can forgive me for now for being so long away from the Blog! Now I'm going to go see what I can do to ramp this boring profile up. ;)Love you guys,Black Cat
